The Lamp Collection Begins

Our lamp collection project begins tonight! We are asking for lamps, lanterns, lamp shades, etc. from the St. Louis community to contribute to an outdoor installation for The Light Project, opening this fall. Your lamp will join others in helping to recreate the roof of the historic Spring church in Grand Center, which burned in 2001.
Stop by anytime tonight between 6pm and 10pm, watch light-inspired films, enjoy the new colors and artwork in Phase Two of the Flavin exhibition, and pick up information on the lamp collection project.
Feel free to bring by your lamps by tonight as well - we’ll be documenting each of the donations on this blog, along with the corresponding stories and photographs.
