Our Community Light Project has been featured in a couple of stories on the St. Louis Beacon’s website. They focus specifically on the installation of lamps at the church on Spring Ave, but each homes in on a particular aspect of the overall effort. One is an interview with artists Sebastian Hungerer and Rainer Kehres. The other focus more on the collection process and the intent of this project.

We have just launched our web catalogue for our Community Light Project. This will be updated often and will highlight the happenings for each of the four installations. You will be able to be view videos, photographs, audio, etc.

This Saturday from 9am to 11am, you can meet the artists behind the installation at the Spring Ave Church. An additional perk is included when you donate a lamp: 1/2 off coupon for any beverage over $2.

Come by Six North Coffee Co. (2 North Sarah, St. Louis, MO 63108) this Friday from 9-11am and meet Rainer and Sebastian– the artists behind the church piece! Bring your hanging lamp and learn more about their piece “Chorus.”

We will be open late from 6pm-9pm Thursday July 3rd.

Check out the Dan Flavin Exhibition at night and bring your lamp donations in the evening when you have more time.

If you were wondering how you were going to bring in your lamps AND get all your grocery shopping in, we have a solution!  Just drop by the Tower Grove Farmer’s Market from 9:30 to 10:30 or the Old North Farmer’s Market from 11:00 to 11:30 and we’ll be able to take them!  PLUS, you can pick up some nice, locally-grown produce (and maybe take a yoga class).
